Howdy!

I am a writer, editor, filmmaker, webmaster, comic fanboy, and co-founder of New Legend Productions.

Thus far, my writing claim to fame has been "The Untold Origins of Invisible Scarlet O'Neil," a comic-sized compendium that tells the history of the first leading lady in comics with superpowers. I am currently working on a self-published comic anthology, "Tales of Legend."

I'm very excited to be part of a new website dedicated to helping promote comic books and comic-related projects - www.ComicBookTrailers.com.

More and more creators and publishers are using video to attract new readers. We thought it would be cool if there was one site you could go to see them all. Anyone who has a CBT (Comic Book Trailer) can submit it to be displayed for FREE!

It is our hope that this site can be a valuable resource for creators, publishers, retailers, and readers alike.

We are currently displaying a number of CBTs on the site and are looking for more! If you have a promo video for a comic book, or comic-related project, please contact us! We'll do our best to make it worth any effort on your part.

Hi, I'm Milton Davis. I'm a writer and a micropublisher through my company, MVmedia. It's a side thing and a labor of love that I thoroughly enjoy. I write science fiction/fantasy novels and short stories based on african and african-american culture, history and mythology. It's not as intimidating as it sounds. I'm working on a couple of collaborative projects with comic book artists and I hope to see some of my stories as graphic novels one day. Check out my website, www.mvmediaatl.com for a feel of my work. If you see something you like, give me a shout out. Peace.

Fascinating. Kwaku Anasazi (I probably just butchered that spelling) in any of the stories, by any chance? That is one of my favorite characters from African myth.

Okay, I'll try to be to the point, but i am a rambler when it comes to writing

My name is Hart Chamberlin. Years ago i did a comic anthology(that was also a music mag) called Dog Soup. I ended up with a huge print bill. So i was very glad when the web came along. I've gotten more readers for less money(when i update ;D). I have two stories going currently - www.desolationangel.net">desolation angel tango and The House of Other Worlds. Both of these are fantasy graphic novels, though DAT is more of a steam of life thing and house is more of a pot boiler. My style is kinda sketchy manga style with european influences. Unfortunatley I have fallen out of my scheduling routine with them- as my current work in the past year has kept me very busy.

And on that point, I checked with Mike and i can act as a representative on this website for our store Oxford Comics. We do accept local comics on consignment(3 to 5 copies). we do 60(yours)/40(ours).-though thats negotiable- i've done 70/30. you're welcome to do a signing. Just email me! We are currently going thru the store, cleaning up sections and putting on sale things we have gross overstock- that's why you all are seeing these boxes of sale items in the store. I do have plans to get to the small press and local comics area to reorganize it in january. If you have a question about the store, you can always email me at hartchamber at the google email company gmail. and do i really think i fooled a bot from picking up that email addy. not really.

thx

If you guys have any copies of the Gene Simmons Dominatrix or House of Horror trades you need to move, I'll be happy to come to a signing and see if that helps.

Hello, Atlanta!

My name's John. I'm 26 and recently moved to Atlanta from Philadelphia when my recruiting firm closed it's doors locally. They offered to move me to Indy or Cleveland, but I took a severance instead and decided to take my chances in the capital of the south! Buckhead specifically.

I love comics. Always have. Became interested in writing for comics last year, and have mostly been reading about the craft, and teaching myself by writing scripts. Looking to network with some local like-minded folks to keep my finger on the pulse of potential writing opportunities, and continue learning.

FAQ

What is this network?

The Atlanta Comics Creators network is just what it says it is, group of Atlanta-based comics creators who use this online resource to make connections, build peer relationships, and further their comics careers.

Who is invited to join?

All mainstream, indie, or webcomic artists, inkers, writers, colorists, editors, and publishers; animators; and pop art and low brow creators local to the Atlanta area.

What can I do here?

Take part in forums to pick the minds of other creators, mentor and be mentored, develop small groups based on locale for real life connections, show off your work, form creative teams, network into national and international markets based on current members, and more to come, such as chat functions and more.

Why should I take part?

Because working in this industry tends to isolate us more than pull us together. Because you never know who your next boss or co-worker will be. Because making friends among your peers is a good practice. Because somebody worked really hard to try to make this place a useful resource, dang it.

What are "groups"?

"Groups" are ways of hooking up by common interests (such as manga or webcomics), location (North Atlanta or Downtown), job focus (artist, writer, pop art, or animator), or any other criteria that bonds us together in groups of people that can help each other become more effective or just hang out and enjoy each others' company.

Where can I get more info about this network?

Email the guy who created it. For more info about him, click this link.
