Atlanta Comics Creators

Welcome to Southern capital of comic book professionals

World exclusive news! (At least for a few hours...)

It is my extreme pleasure to announce that we have just upgraded ComicBookTrailers.com to version 1.5! Not a major overall, but we did fix a few bugs and added a couple of cool new features. One of which is an optional "BUY NOW" button for every CBT on display. With one click, we can turn a viewer into a customer! We will point the link to anywhere the client prefers folks to purchase the product (we are not operating a store ourselves).

With more and more content being added to the site, we were worried that some CBTs could get lost. Therefore, we have added an "ALL" category, and optimized the random display and others related. We want to help showcase as many products as we can. The response from creators of about site since it went live has been very supportive and we want to make sure no one feels left out.

We'll also be working at more aggressively getting our name out there so we can generate more traffic and even more attention to the projects on our site. If you'd like to help in any way with a banner or link, we'd be more than happy to return the favor.

We would like to thank the many supporters who have helped make this site possible, especially the folks at Graphic Illusions Studios. Great work guys!!!

And on a personal note, I cannot finish this post without acknowledging the awesome work done by my New Legend partner, Bill Kielhorn. Truth be told, the site could have been created without him, but it would not be half as cool! Odds are, if you like anything about the site, it was his idea or he made it better.

So I encourage everyone to check out our updated site at ComicBookTrailers.com! We welcome any and all feedback on the site, so please let us know if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions.

Thanks for checking us out!

I'm glad you saw some comics of interest - that's our goal!

We are indeed using flash, but to be honest I'm not up on the actual specifics. We had the site designed for us by the great guys at GI Studios.

Be sure to keep checking us out. We're adding new content every week!

FAQ

What is this network?

The Atlanta Comics Creators network is just what it says it is, group of Atlanta-based comics creators who use this online resource to make connections, build peer relationships, and further their comics careers.

Who is invited to join?

All mainstream, indie, or webcomic artists, inkers, writers, colorists, editors, and publishers; animators; and pop art and low brow creators local to the Atlanta area.

What can I do here?

Take part in forums to pick the minds of other creators, mentor and be mentored, develop small groups based on locale for real life connections, show off your work, form creative teams, network into national and international markets based on current members, and more to come, such as chat functions and more.

Why should I take part?

Because working in this industry tends to isolate us more than pull us together. Because you never know who your next boss or co-worker will be. Because making friends among your peers is a good practice. Because somebody worked really hard to try to make this place a useful resource, dang it.

What are "groups"?

"Groups" are ways of hooking up by common interests (such as manga or webcomics), location (North Atlanta or Downtown), job focus (artist, writer, pop art, or animator), or any other criteria that bonds us together in groups of people that can help each other become more effective or just hang out and enjoy each others' company.

Where can I get more info about this network?
